Customize a New You with a Mommy Makeover
A mommy makeover is a plastic surgery procedure that more and more women are choosing every day. This transformative procedure is a way to reverse the many changes that take place during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Simply put, it’s a way to get your pre-pregnancy body back.
This cosmetic option is excellent for reducing excess fat in the legs, arms, trunk, or another region with liposuction; refining the abdomen with a tummy tuck; and enhancing, reducing, or reshaping the breasts with a breast augmentation, reduction, or lift.
The mommy makeover is a package of procedures that you can customize with your plastic surgeon to fit your aesthetic goals. You will likely have several options for your mommy makeover.
After childbirth, many areas of the body experience excess fat. Liposuction, or lipoplasty, helps to shrink many areas of the body, including your hips and thighs, by removing excess fat.
First, very small incisions or cuts will be made by the plastic surgeon. A cannula – a thin hollow tube – will be inserted through the incisions to reach the accumulated fat. Suction will be used to extract the fat through the cannula.
A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, helps to remove excess fat and skin from your belly and waist. The loose muscle tissue and skin of the abdominal area are tightened. Stretch marks are removed, and excess skin is trimmed.
A curved horizontal incision will be made between the belly button and pubic hair region. Excess skin and fat will be removed. The fascia will then be tightened using sutures. The belly button may be repositioned. Stitches are used to close the incision(s).
A breast lift, or mastopexy, helps to regain the normal shape and pertness of your breasts. The procedure can treat multiple conditions such as sagging breasts, drooping nipples, and asymmetry.
Incisions will be made to reposition and reshape the breast tissues. Any loose excess skin will be trimmed and tightened by the plastic surgeon. The areolae and nipples will be repositioned as well. The incisions will then be stitched up.
In the process of breast reduction, fat and glandular tissue is removed and the skin is tightened. The end result is smaller and lighter breasts.
The plastic surgeon will make small incisions, and excess fat, glandular tissue, and skin will be removed. The nipples and areolae will then be repositioned. The underlying breast tissue will be reduced, lifted, and brought back to shape. The skin will be pulled together tightly and the incisions will be sutured closed.
Breast augmentation is also known as augmentation mammaplasty. This procedure is performed to increase or restore the size of your breasts. Silicone-gel or saline implants are used in this method.
An incision is made, and through this, the surgeon creates a pocket in the breast area. The implants are placed in the pockets, and the incisions are then sealed with sutures.
