Brow Lift & Forehead Lift
Conveniently located to serve Columbus, Cincinnati and Gallia County
A browlift, or forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that smoothes out the forehead while raising the upper eyelids and eyebrows and reducing frown lines. The procedure is one of the least complicated and least painful of all cosmetic surgeries. A forehead lift erases many of the effects of aging, leaving you with a more youthful appearance.
There are several reasons why you could have drooping eyebrows, including loss of muscle volume under the skin, genetics, medications, and the constant downward pull of gravity. The sagging of the skin on your forehead and eyebrows is a prominent sign of skin aging. You start to look unhappy and tired even if you have rested well. These issues can be treated with brow lift surgery.
ARE YOU A SUITABLE CANDIDATE?
A brow lift surgery removes excess sagging skin on the forehead and repositions the underlying tissues and muscles. This corrects drooping shapeless brows and eliminates deep furrows, restoring smoother and more youthful-looking skin.
To benefit from this surgery, you must be a suitable candidate. You are an ideal candidate if you fulfill the below criteria:
- You are physically healthy and don’t have any underlying conditions that could result in severe side effects.
- You do not smoke or can quit at least two weeks before the surgery.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or plan to be pregnant soon.
- You do not have an injury or infection in the treatment area.
- Your expectations regarding the results of the treatment are realistic.
YOUR INITIAL BROW LIFT CONSULTATION
A forehead lift procedure begins with a consultation with Dr. Fox, who will determine whether you are a suitable candidate for the procedure. He will review your medical condition, personal medical history, medications currently being taken, allergies, and family medical history. A physical examination will be conducted, and you will be able to ask any questions you may have. Finally, a treatment plan will be created.
At the time of the brow lift surgery, the operative area is cleaned with a disinfectant. The incision site is then marked. Anesthesia is administered to eliminate any chance of discomfort or pain. Incisions are made, and the tissues and muscle beneath the skin are lifted and tightened. The skin is then adjusted, and excess skin is removed.
The incisions are closed using sutures, skin adhesives, or special clips. Dr. Fox will give you post-surgery care directions to be followed during the recovery process.
