Radiesse® is a calcium hydroxylapatite-based dermal filler that helps smooth out wrinkles, eliminate scars, and add volume to the skin. Safe, long-lasting, and effective with immediate results, Radiesse® supplements your skin’s depleted collagen giving you a more energetic and youthful appearance.
WHAT CAN RADIESSE® TREAT?
This versatile injectable dermal filler can treat a number of volume-related facial wrinkles. Radiesse® can address:
- The nasolabial folds (deep wrinkles stretching from the corners of the nose to the sides of the mouth)
- Parentheses lines (crescent-shaped wrinkles bordering the corners of the mouth)
- Marionette lines (diagonal lines stretching down from the corners of the mouth)
- Hollow areas in the temples, cheeks, and jawline
- Certain scars and acne scars
THE SCIENCE BEHIND RADIESSE®
The aging process is accompanied by the gradual loss of collagen and elastin from the skin. This results in a decline in volume.
Radiesse® uses calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres to restore volume and structure to the skin. While these microspheres are being safely and naturally absorbed into the system over time, new collagen and elastin is forming between them, further improving structure and health.
THE TREATMENT PROCESS
A Radiesse® treatment session is quick and convenient, typically taking only 15 minutes. The areas to be treated are marked as a guide for the injector. Local anesthesia is then administered to numb them. Finally, deep injections of Radiesse® are delivered to the treatment regions.
No downtime or recovery time will be required after a Radiesse® treatment, so patients can return to their daily schedule right away. Redness, swelling, and bruising may be present in the injected areas, but these are only temporary. Avoid applying pressure to the treated areas, avoid sun exposure, and make sure to apply the proper sunscreen until healing is complete.
The price of Radiesse® injections is determined by the medical practice you choose for your treatment session. The cost will primarily depend on the size and number of treatment regions.
