Here at the Plastic Surgery Institute of Dayton, we offer breast enlargements as a way to balance or enhance your body’s contours. Though the procedure is one of the most popular in the United States, few people have even a basic idea of what to expect afterwards, during the breast augmentation recovery phase.

Breast augmentation recovery begins right after the surgery is completed. You will be allowed to return home with an adult, who will stay with you for the first 24 hours. This is important because there are certain individuals who may experience nausea, vomiting, and/or lightheadedness. Having that support is comforting and beneficial. Prepare for your return home by padding the bed for the possibility of slight oozing. Add pillows if needed to elevate your upper body to help with swelling.
