Brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, is a procedure involving several processes intended to tighten, firm and rejuvenate drooping skin around the arms.

An incision along the inner surface of the upper arm is made that can run from the underarm area to the elbow but may sometimes be shorter. Positioning of the incision along the inner surface of the arm assists in hiding any post-surgical marks.

The length and pattern of the incision vary based on the volume and locality of excess skin to be removed, as well as the best judgment from one of our board-certified plastic surgeons.

An arm lift is typically an outpatient procedure. Incisions will be closed with either absorbable sutures or stitches that will be removed within one to two weeks following your arm lift.
